This free event will see Liz Tyson, International Director of Palestine's only locally-run animal protection group, The Palestinian Animal League, and founding member of its UK-based partner organisation, Palestinian Animal League Solidarity, share her experience, and that of her Palestinian colleagues, surrounding the unique challenges, dangers, obstacles and opportunities faced by social justice campaigners in Palestine.

Using the work of the Palestinian Animal League and the ongoing human rights struggle against the occupation of Palestinian land as key examples of how the social justice movement manifests itself in the occupied territories, the discussion will explore how campaigning and advocacy in Palestine necessarily differs from work on similar issues internationally.

In addition, Liz will discuss the importance of solidarity work in support of Palestinian animal and human rights activists within the international community, and how everyone can help to support the important work of PAL.
